Suggested Auxiliary Abilities
Ability Ability Increases your damage output towards the affected targets. Even better with a Binding signet on your Whip.
Ability Ability Great for taking care of multiple enemies from afar.
Gear Stats
1500+Attack Rating
300Heal Rating
300Hit Rating
The stats used are of the budget of Quality Level 10 green gear and should give you an idea of what direction to go to while gearing. More than 350 hit rating a waste since you will rarely glance with that, so the rest of your budget should be used exclusively for Penetration Rating.
Head:Signet of Laceration
Majors:Signet of Violence
Blade:Signet of Breaching
Fist Weapon:Signet of Aggression

A survival build that allows you to shred your enemies in to tiny bits through sheer might obtained by limiting defensive power.

This build costs a lot of AP but otherwise can be used by both beginners and veterans.
It is recommended to change some passives in order to gain more power once you obtain enough penetration rating to switch out Dark Potency.

Elemental Force or Lethality are recommended as replacement.

You should also aim to replace Fluid Defence with Gross Anatomy when you can, as it will make you deal A LOT more damage.

What differentiates this build from the others is the use of Berserk.

Melee weapons obtain resources when you spend time out of combat, Berserk allows you to pre-cast this consumer causing you to gain the Berserker buff which will make your next hits cause an additional PBAoE attack.

So this is how it looks when you’re about to engage the enemy.

Then wait a few seconds to recuperate fist weapon resources.
Chop Shop (will be enhanced by Berserker procs)
Wild at Heart

If your enemies aren’t destroyed by then (pink enemies are tough cookies), start building with Blade Torrent and depending on the amount of enemies use Berserk (group), or Wild at Heart (single target).

Depending on your gear a single target fist builder could help you with dealing with multiple shields.

Martial Discipline and the passive Regeneration can provide you with an excellent amount of survivability.

Impairs: Both Blade and fist provide you with excellent abilities to impair your enemies with. Recommended to use at least one to impair Psychic Renewal with.

A minor or major health piece will also help you survive.

why blood sport over the shoot em’ up and blade torrent options?

    • Ciritty

      I don’t see why it wouldn’t work ;)

And not only does bloodsport do more damage than shootem up, every single hit applies bloodsport! Which means Gross anatomy procs on every single hit opposed to only when you use your builder.

      • Stephen Lockard

Has this changed? I’ve been out a year but bloodsport used to be considered the weakest afflict in terms of dps, I’m using a chaos/fist burst survival build based around empowerment until I get Gross Anatomy unlocked, look forward to parsing some of this out for science

        • Ciritty

They nerfed shoot em up, blood sport does 1 dmg more than both shootem up/perfect storm when fully stacked! But the dmg is still low as are all afflictions sadly ;)

Bloodsport however didn’t use to proc Gross anatomy, now it does!

Have you considered swapping Wild at heart for Tear Em Up, and engaging with that? It only does a few less damage than Wild at Heart, but the 10% bonus more than makes up for the difference over the course of Chop shop.

    • Ciritty

Sure have, it’s more efficient and so is using CtP… but not every build has to use the same abilities! :p It does work well though, feel free to use it!

What would you switch out for martial discipline and regeneration in your opinion?

    • Ciritty

      Steel echo and dark potency!
