Tier 1

Objective: Enter the underground bunker

The bunker is a solo instance located at the Red Hand Observatory near the Vampire Hunter at (510, 1100)


Tier 2

Objective: Search the facility for information

Use the security console at (310, 450) and select option 4.

NOTE: You can use option 5 to redirect emergency power to light to the different sections. There are consoles throughout the area. You need the power redirected to Section 4 to open the door at the end of the area, but you can set use it temporarily turn the lights on to see your way through the dark rooms.


Objective: Reach the reactor section

Stop in the hall at (315, 430) and grab an Electrical Fuse from the fuse box on the left wall.


Continue down the hallway and make a detour to the right. You can’t continue straight because of a Malnourished Siege Breaker blocking the hallway. These mobs are EXTREMELY tough and will pose a threat for all but the most geared players so avoid them at all costs. They are everywhere and it’s especially easy to bump into one in the dark. If you have a Headlamp this is the perfect place to use it.

Stop at (300, 410) and grab some Electrical Wires from the wall.


Once you are at (310, 380) replace the fuse and the electrical wires and flip the switch to open the door. NOTE: Emergency power needs to be set to Section 4 in order to be able to open the door.


Tier 3

Objective: Initialize the activation sequence for the reactors

You can use the security console at (335, 370) to redirect emergency power to light different areas but again, it isn’t required.

You must activate the four reactors in this order: 4 – 2 – 1 – 3

Objective: Restart the reactors

Each reactor gives you a 5 minute timer. You must activate the next reactor within this time limit.

Once the power is restored the security cameras will be operation again, so carefully make your way to the closed door at (300, 370) and flip the switch to open it.

Tier 4

Objective: Reach the server room

Once through the door, be careful. This hallway has an active Malnourished Siege Breaker who patrols the hall.

Objective: Locate the main console

You need to disable the laser grid to reach the console. This requires jumping over various computer equipment:













Objective: Retrieve the elder Varias’ research data

Once at the main console, flip the switch on the left wall to disable the remaining lasers.

Grab the keycard to the right of the console.

Use the console and select option 3.


Tier 5

Objective: Reach the research laboratory

Use the keycard to open the door at (245, 325).


Objective: Vent the laboratory aid and override the lockdown

This room has several security cameras that will activate auto-turrets if they spot you. If you are spotted you must exit the room quickly and hide around the corner until they reset.

The order to use the controls in to override the lock down is: 1) Power Control Console, 2) Ventilation System Activation (switch), 3) Lockdown Override Control

You have 60 seconds to complete the procedure from the time you use the Power Control console or the sequence will reset itself.


Objective: Locate Prototype XL-239

Prototype XL-239 is located in the next room at (215, 365). He is inactive until you walk up to him.


Objective: Destroy Prototype XL-239

Prototype XL-239 is a fairly straight forward fight. All of his attacks can be avoided with positioning properly timed dodges. You can use the switches located around the rooms to activate defensive turrets that will help you in the fight, but their damage is fairly weak against the boss, so it’s quicker just to forget about them.

Once Prototype XL-239 is defeated your mission is complete. Instead of backtracking through the whole facility, you can use the quick exit in the bosses room at (230, 370).

    Venting the lab air and overriding the lockdown can be tricky – here is a youtube vid (not mine) that may help with this and other bits.

    There’s a flare gun crate in one of the early rooms – it stuns the final boss making it an even easier fight, and a useful bit of light if you don’t have a head torch
