More Less Jump to:

Tier 1

Objective: Search the town outskirts for a memorial to the siege

The town referred to is the Ruins of Iazmaciune. Head west and approach by the bridge.

Objective: Examine the memorial plate

Half way across the bridge you will find the memorial plate. Interact with it to examine it.

Tier 2

Objective: Pass through the seal

Simply enter the ruins through the green curtain of light.

Tier 3

Objective: Take the insignia of the herald Juan

Objective: Take the insignia of Bailiff Tarek

Objective: Take the insignia of Sergei, the Potter

Objective: Take the insignia of Misha, the Butcher

We will be running all over town, and there are a lot of deathless around. However, if you don’t want to fight them, their aggro range is quite short so you can run past most without any trouble. Just remember to take out those close to the targets so you don’t pull more than you can handle.

Deathless are easy prey, but there is one ability that some of them cast which you should watch out for: Midnight Mass. You have about 3 seconds to avoid this: 1 second cast time, 1 second for the AoE to grow on the ground and 1 second with green swirly graphics. If you are caught in this green swirl, any initial movement you have will be reversed 180 degrees. Confusing as hell. At the end of the green swirl you will suffer a 5 second stun. Let’s get on with it.

Herald Juan is first up, although this can be done in any order. Kill him to get his seal. Note that you will not actually get a seal in your inventory.

Bailiff Tarek has three friends. Open with AoE until they are dead before proceeding with Tarek.

Misha is one of the two target found in the town square. Mind your surroundings.

And lastly we have Sergei.

Tier 4

Objective: Find Deacon Claude

Deacon Clause is hanging out on the stairs of a church in the south-west part of town.

Objective: Take the insignia of Deacon Claude

There is only one way to do that, and it’s by force.

Tier 5

Objective: Place the insignias in the Seal of the Black Moon

The seal is in the courtyard where you just fought Deacon Claude. Interact with it to place the insignias.

Objective: Find Bishop Malev

A secret sliding door is now usable to the left of the seal. Open it and enter.

Objective: Destroy Bishop Malev

Okay, soldier, listen up! Pay attention if you want to survive. There are two mechanics here that will rip you to shreds.

When you engage the good Bishop, he will cast a spell that manifests as two whirlwinds on each side of his altar. These will slowly, step my step, move from the altar in the north and down south. The damage is not bad, but it will constantly chip away health.

In addition to the swirling animation, the winds area of effect can be determined by the green braziers: AoE = between two braziers and the full width of the courtyard from east to west. When they reach the final braziers in the south, they will start over from up at the altar. This means that if you get cornered by the wind, and need to pass through it, do it quickly but stop as soon as you’re through. Don’t go all the way up north as you’ll only have positioned yourself closer to the wind when it comes for a second pass.

And then there is the Midnight Mass again. A five second stun in here will be the death of you, especially if that includes being caught in the wind. If you’re not good at paying attention to casts, I suggest you never stop moving. That way you will be out of the AoE when it lands. Go get him!

Objective: Read the Chapter of the Cult

Interact with the tome that lies on the altar to read it.

Head of the Draculesti: Next to the altar lies a side mission that is unobtainable outside of this courtyard.
To exit the courtyard, approach the secret sliding door you entered through and pull the torch lever on the right side.
