Murders in the City

Difficulty: ♦️4

A series of murders have occurred in Mexico City. Authorities are at a loss as to who is behind the gruesome acts. Each victim has been drained of blood and there are no sign of wounds. In addition, each victim was discovered displayed in horrific positions. Some are found kneeling in a circle of strange symbols, as yet to be identified, while others are found hung in a ring with animal corpses. Reports indicate this may be an occult act, yet local officials are not commenting for fear of causing a panic. An agent is needed for investigative purposes only.

Complete

Unfortunately, your agent was unable to pinpoint the person or group behind the series of murders. The day after they left Mexico City, three more murders occurred.

Success

With some investigative legwork, your agent was able to pinpoint the cause of the murders. They determined the blood magic cult Hijos del Sol, a group devoted to the Aztec sun deity, Huitzilopochtli, committed these atrocities in Mexico City. As this mission's parameters were to investigate and not to engage, your agent has filed a report and left the city.
