Mission Description: An old, handwritten note burns with a mystical orange flame. For some reason, the paper remains virtually intact, though the heat from the flame is very real.

Tier 1

Task Description: The note could have been written by a former patient or attending physician - left behind for posterity.

Objective: Examine the burning note

Reach through the flames and pick up the Burning Note.

Objective: Move into the ruined Asylum

Go down the hill and into the Ak'ab infested Abandoned Asylum (185, 240).

Objective: Search the area for clues

Look around the Abandoned Asylum. A cloud of golden miasma has settled beneath a tree slightly farther north (190,255). Walk into the cloud.

Objective: Defeat Obomsawin

The cloud was the spirit of Obomsawin! Obomsawin is Level 23 with 4791 HP and frequently casts Cold Flame.

When Obomsawin has been defeated, a fiery spirit flies away!

Objective: Examine the seared note

Obomsawin drops a seared note upon defeat. Pick it up.

If the seared not is not examined within 60 seconds, it will despawn and this mission will return to the previous objective to defeat Obomsawin.

Tier 2

Task Description: The note describes a young boy who developed pyrokinetic abilities. It seems the youth was afraid of the medical staff at the asylum and kept running away. Follow in his tracks to find out more.

Objective: Go to outer wall of the Asylum

A fiery spirit flew off out of the defeated Obomsawin and around the Asylum wall. Follow it to the front entrance of the Aslyum (245,300).

Objective: Search the area for clues

Along the outer wall of the Asylum is a ball of fire churning in a corner of ruined walls (250,325). Approach it.

Objective: Defeat Obomsawin

Defeat Obomsawin for the second time.

Objective: Examine the seared note

Obomsawin has dropped another seared note. Pick it up within 60 seconds or Obomsawin will return.

Tier 3

Task Description: Whoever wrote these notes took advantage of the scared young boy, attempting to force his abilities to manifest. Keep following the story to learn more.

Objective: Go to the Azeban Span

Hop over the rubble and go around the Abandoned Asylum to reach the Azeban Span below (170,275) through either direction.

Objective: Search the area for clues

The fire of Obomsawin waits within the cracks of the cliff (180,300). Approach the flames to engage the spirit.

Objective: Defeat Obomsawin

Defeat Obomsawin for the third time.

Objective: Examine the seared note

Another tragic and seared note detailing the sad fate of Obomsawin sits where the spirit once was. Examine it within 60 seconds.

Tier 4

Task Description: The trail leads to a nearby beach, where in 1904 a man named Oliver Smith kidnapped [sic] Wabanaki boy who had developed supernatural abilities. By studying the boy, Mr Smith hoped to prove his thesis on the occult. Keep looking for clues to learn the fate of these people.

Objective: Head towards the nearby coast

Follow the span to a lightpost by Solomon Road (165,245) heading in the direction of the coast.

Objective: Find Obomsawin's coastal final resting place

Go to the nearby coast (120,210). Obomsawin's flame awaits you in his final resting place.

Tier 4

Task Description: The trail leads to a nearby beach, where in 1904 a man named Oliver Smith kidnapped [sic] Wabanaki boy who had developed supernatural abilities. By studying the boy, Mr Smith hoped to prove his thesis on the occult. This research came at a high price, and the firey [sic] soul of this young child still lingers.

Objective: Put the vengeful spirit to rest

Defeat the spirit of Obomsawin one last time to put this poor child's spirit to rest.
