Flame Away

Tier 1

Objective: Pick up the flamethrower

Take the half-finished flamethrower from the picnic table. Doing so will give you the mission item Barn Burner.

Objective: Go to Edgar's Scapyard

Head east to Edgar's Scrapyard (605,670).

Tier 2

Objective: Search the garbage bins for a hose

Search Edgar's Scrapyard for garbage bins and inspect them until acquiring a hose. A garbage bin can be found early in the Scrapyard close to the repurposed school bus and Edgar (615,685).

Tier 3

Objective: Test the Flamethrower

Use the flamethrower item to equip it. Doing so will replace the action bar with the temporary ability Flame Stream, which by default is bound to the left mouse button. Flame Stream is a channeled cone attack in the area in front of you.

Use Flame Away on one of the nearby scrap golems.

At the end of the cast, you are knocked back and the Barn Burner is no longer functional.

Objective: Give the destroyed flamethrower parts to Edgar

Go to Scrapyard Edgar, who will surely appreciate more parts (610,670).
