Mission Description

The area around the Overlook Motel looks unearthly, like a scene taken from a doomsday movie. Some would call it Hell on Earth. Further data on this phenomenon will probably be valuable to your faction HQ.

Tier 1

Task Description

The ground has ruptured and large rock formations protrude from the earth's crust. The air is hot and thick, with a distinct smell of sulphur. Examine the surroundings and take readings from the altered terrain.

Objective: Take readings from fiery cracks

Examine a hellscape eruption, a second hellscape eruption, a third hellscape eruption and 3 fiery cracks. Hellscape eruptions are hellish protrusions of lava erupting from the earth. Fiery cracks are as their name suggests: fiery cracks in the ground splitting it into orange vents of flame.

Examine a third hellscape eruption

Examine the [Hellscape eruption] (750,900) bursting out beside the Redpath behind the Overlook Motel, facing East toward the Red Oak Beach.

Examine a second hellscape eruption

Examine the [Hellscape eruption] (745,840) corckscrewing from its base behind the South-East corner of the Overlook Motel.

Examine a hellscape eruption

Examine the [Hellscape eruption] (730,830) directly behind the Overlook Motel office, where it can be seen outside the window next to Daniel Bach.

Take readings from fiery cracks

Examine 3 Fiery cracks. A Fiery crack can be examined by interacting with any [Fiery crack] found around the Overlook Motel. There are a total of 10 across the Overlook Motel grounds and can be found all the way around the building, from the parking lot to the gravel around. They do not have dynel interaction outlines, but can still be interacted with. It is easier to see them on the asphalt than elsewhere in the area.
