Shooting Filth in a Barrel

Mission Description

Barrels filled with a thick, oily substance lie close to a dark well. The contents seem to cause erratic effects on all life and un-life on the island and they warrant investigation.

Tier 1

Task Description

The barrels have been filled with the vile substance boiling in the dark well and lined along the paths and the bluff, almost as in a deliberate attempt to affect everyone and everything that passes them.

Objective: Go to the top of the bluff

Go up the path (650,130) that zig-zags its way to the top of Suicide Bluff (625,145). It can be seen in the distance from behind the Filth barrels when facing West.

Objective: Destroy barrels

Destroy 4 Filth barrels. Filth barrels are plentiful throughout Suicide Bluff. Each Filth barrel is destructible and has 1500 HP. When destroyed, a Filth barrel releases Filth in an AoE that afflicts all nearby with 1 stack of the Damage Over Time Filth Exposure that lasts for a 10 second duration. Filth Exposure inflicts damage over time while increasing damage taken, reducing movement speed, reducing healing, and reducing absorption and leech effects. Filth Exposure is not fun for bees to experience.

Zombies who gain Filth Exposure will turn into Zombie Goliaths. It is advised to kill zombies before destroying a Filth barrel in order to avoid creating Zombie Goliaths.

Once the 4th Filth barrel is destroyed, a Filth Infected Worker will spawn and immediately attack.

Tier 2

Task Description

The positioning of the barrels seems intentional, effectively spreading their deconstructive substance. The risk to survivors should be eliminated.

Objective: Destroy the Filth Infected Worker

Destroy the Filth Infected Worker that has appeared after destroying the final Filth barrel. The Filth Infected Worker must be destroyed within 60 seconds. The Filth Infected Worker benefits from New Flesh and is resistant to impairment effects.

Tier 2 Fail

Fail Task Description

The positioning of the barrels seems intentional, effectively spreading their deconstructive substance. The risk to survivors should be eliminated.

Fail Objective: Destroy a barrel to attract a Filth Infected Worker

Destroy a Filth barrel to attract a Filth Infected Worker. Destroying a Filth barrel will return the mission to the prior objective.

This Fail Tier will only occur when the mission goal has timed out after failing to kill the Filth Infeced Worker within 60 seconds.
