The Talos of Water is a 40-player Open Raid encounter available during the Anniversary Event in Agartha.

Tier 1

Task Description

Gaia forms elemental constructs to test and reward her champions, but something went wrong... and the hulking automaton turned deadly. Fortunately, you helped bring this corrupted Talos down before it could cause undue harm. Now claim your reward.

Objective: Collect your reward

Upon defeating the Water Talos, the raid mission The Talos of Water will be applied to all participants in the instance. Within seconds of receiving the mission, it automatically completes.

Defeating the Water Talos gives the buff Anima Surge, which allows a player to open a [Buzzing Hive] during its 10 minute duration. Only one [Buzzing Hive] can be opened per Anima Surge effect.

Agartha will expel players from the raid instance shortly after defeating the Water Talos within. Removal from the instance is staggered to reduce server lag, so some players will be teleported out first and others may have to wait a few seconds to leave the instance.

The Talos of Water gives a [Genizah of Water] upon turn-in. In addition, it rewards 1 [Animated Particulate] for First-Time Completion. This mission has a 30-minute cooldown.

General Information

The Water Talos

The Immaculate Machine has initiated the education protocols, desiring to teach Her bees how to best protect Her. Unfortunately for the bees, something has corrupted all of the Talos of Gaia that have been created for teaching purposes, including the Water Talos.

The Water Talos is one of the 40-player Open Raid encounters accessible in Agartha through the Vibrant Agartha instance, which will always contain 1 Talos of Gaia raid boss out of a total of 11 different Talos of Gaia raid bosses found within Vibrant Agartha. Every hour at 00:02 minutes past the hour, the portal to Vibrant Agartha becomes active for 10 minutes. While bosses inside may last after that period of time, no more may enter to face a Talos once those 10 minutes have passed. An instance of Vibrant Agartha will close 30 minutes after the first player has entered that instance regardless of whether or not the Talos of Gaia is engaged in combat.

The Talos of Gaia present within Vibrant Agartha rotates every hour.

There are no level requirements necessary to enter and face the Water Talos. A player only needs to have met Jack Boone in Kingsmouth Town in order to participate in the raid.

Vibrant Agartha

The portal to Vibrant Agartha can be found between the Agartha Pad to the Training Grounds and the Transylvania region just outside of the Hollowed Halls (550,250). It is festively decorated with balloons, piñatas, and streamers.

Equal Footing

Players within Vibrant Agartha are buffed with Equal Footing so that their stats are scaled evenly regardless of their level or item power.

Abilities and Mechanics

106286032 HP

Immune to CC

The Water Talos is permanently immune to Stuns, Knock Downs, Obstruction, Roots, and Snares.

Attack

The Water Talos uses its dense fists to Attack in its generic attack. This Attack is a single target Melee Strike with a 2 meter range that deals physical damage and has a 1.5 second cast time and Instant recast time.

Drowning

In its roiling rage, the Water Talos very frequently calls forth a Drowning PBAoE PGE pool wherever the Water Talos is standing at the time Drowning is cast. A Drowning pool lasts 20 seconds and rapidly deals ticks of minor physical damage every 0.5 seconds to anybody who stands in it who isn't the Water Talos itself.

Avoid standing in a Drowning pool for prolonged periods of time. After the Water Talos has cast Drowning, move the golem out of the water to minimize collateral damage and otherwise endangering others.

The Drowning Persistent Ground Effect is a swirling 360 degree circle with a 6 meter radius.

Watery Draw

The Talos of Water is a turbulent creation of Gaia. It throws its arms up to begin its Watery Draw in the form of a Hostile PBAoE with a 4 second cast time and 17 second recast time. After those 4 seconds pass, a 10 meter radius 360 degree Hostile GTAoE Watery Draw appears whence the Water Talos stood when initiating Watery Draw's cast.

A maximum of 30 targets within the Watery Draw GTAoE 10 meter radius will receive minor physical damage. Anyone hit by Watery Draw becomes Impaired by Upheaval and knocked away a potential 15 meters high; however, the Water Talos’ foes never have a chance to go flying, as it immediately follows Upheaval with a Watery Draw that knocks down all affected enemies to the ground and pulls them towards the Talos and its raging torrent.

Both the Impair Upheaval and Impair Watery Draw are subject to Diminishing Returns and will be weaker on subsequent afflictions of either Upheaval or Watery Draw within a short 14 second timeframe.

If the Water Talos is standing in a pool of Drowning when casting Watery Draw, players pulled close through the Watery Draw will be drawn into the waters and suffer rapid Drowning damage during the time that Watery Draw has left them stunned.
