Fifth Anniversary 2022 Community Contests and Events

This year marks the Fifth Anniversary for Secret World Legends and the Tenth Anniversary for the launch of the Secret World IP as a whole, so Happy Anniversary, sweetlings! With the Secret World Legends Anniversary event running from 24 June 2022 at 9 AM EDT to 18 July 2022 at 9 AM EDT, there are plenty of things to do! These past ten years for us have meant so very much to us, and we hope they flow just as sweetly for you as well.

The Secret World Legends community has many player-run events planned for the Anniversary! RP, PvP, PvE - it's all covered by a wide variety of contests and events hosted by the players for the players. Many of the contests held have unique prizes made possible thanks to Funcom, as well! From community leaders to individual players and Funcom themselves, everyone is eager to excite and entertain with contests and events this Anniversary. To help those who might be interested in seeing what's going on during the Anniversary, we've gathered up all announced events scheduled at the time of writing this.

Quantum State Radio celebrates Secret World Legends' 5th Anniversary with six hours of music, roleplay, and giveaways at the Rooted Groove in Agartha starting at 1:00 PM EDT on 25 june 2022! Each Quantum State Radio DJ, "Malak", "DJ-Raygun", and "Lucid" will offer music representative of their respective weekly shows for two hours each during the Quantum State Radio Anniversary Show - all while doing giveaways! These DJs have provided music for the Secret World Legends roleplaying community for many years, and they want to share their love for the community with the community!

Happy Tentacle Radio celebrates their 9th Anniversary as a Secret World radio station wth hours of music, contests, and roleplay in front of the Hollowed Halls starting at 2:00 PM EDT on 26 June 2022! Happy Tentacle Radio DJs "Cinnamon-Girl", "Drina", and "TheReaper" each will have their own segments representative of the tone and style of their weekly shows, and each will have their own contests during the Happy Tentacle Radio 9th Anniversary Show! Prizes for their contests include one of the "Secret War" outfits from the Secret War Facebook game for whichever Faction the winning characters are, courtesy of Funcom!

The Quantum State Radio DJ Suri "Jhayde" Hughes is holding a cosplay contest down in the Roman Wail Records shop in London at 7:00 PM EDT on 29 June 2022! To celebrate the community, the theme of the contest is to dress as one of your favorite fellow players! There will be prizes, some of which are provided courtesy of Funcom! There will be roleplay and music, as the contest will be conducted over the course of one of Jhayde's mixtape shows. It's time to get cosplaying!

Shambala: Everyone Becomes an Enemy!

Dress up in your "Morph suit, red" or an all-red attire and queue up for Shambala with "Hyun-Bin" starting at 1:00 PM EDT on 02 July 2022 all the way to 5:00 PM EDT! Wearing a touch of the Gatekeeper's reds is all the rage for this PvP event. Participate in 15 or more matches of Shambala while dressed in red during the event to qualify for a random name draw to be held at the end of the event. In addition to a giveaway, there are screenshot contests both for solo shots and group shots! Shambala awaits.

Challenge your healing endurance and skill by seeing how long you survive with increasing stacks from eating Bad Dates and Dante's Hot Sauce. Meet Up with "JimmyTheRabbit" to ensure entry into the correct instance of the Scorched Desert, and don't forget to bring Dante's Hot Sauce and Bad Dates! Those who hold out the longest will be awarded the "Healer t-shirt" courtesy of Funcom. The Secret World 10th Anniversary Stream

To celebrate the ten (10) years since the launch of The Secret World, "Catboiler" is streaming The Secret World on their Twitch page starting at 12:00 PM EDT on 03 July 2022 and plans to do dungeons, raids, and even PvP! They welcome all to join them in their nostalgic dive into The Secret World - Catboiler has even made the open request for any developers who worked on the game to come for some interviews! They are also raffling off what they call an "OG TSW account", which we presume is an unused CD Key for The Secret World as opposed to a pre-existing account. If you loved The Secret World and Secret World Legends, or you want a chance to see what things were like back in 2012-2016, now is your chance!

League of Monster Slayers Non-Musical Musical Chairs

The "League of Monster Slayers" cabal is hosting a game of musical chairs with all of the whimsy and charm you would expect! "fowlskins" will be holding the event at 16:00 EDT on 08 July 2022 in Axel's in the Hollowed Halls of Agartha! For those unfamiliar with musical chairs, players try to sit in an open seat during a period of time typically designated by music - when the music stops, anyone not in a chair has lost, and the number of chairs decreases as the rounds played increase. For the League of Monster Slayers' rendition of the game, players will be told when to rush to seats and when the time's up, but no music will be involved. The game ends once there is only one player left seated, no matter how many rounds that may take. The winner will be given a Party Ghoul pet and Shocking Steps, Green sprint from the League of Monster Slayers, but the goal of the game is to have fun!

If you want to play, Meet Up on "fowlskins" before the game begins! Please do not Dodge or use any Gadgets or Active or Passive abilities that offer increased movement speed, dashes, teleports, or other means of giving an unfair advantage. Using any of the above will disqualify you from the game. Don't cheat!

The "League of Monster Slayers" cabal is holding a scavenger hunt throughout the entire duration of Secret World Legends' Fifth Anniversary event! Ten (10) signs found throughout various Secret World playfields have been provided - take screenshots of your character at as many those signs as possible and email them to the League of Monster Slayers at the address provided in their forum thread. Find a minimum of five (5) of the correct locations to receive one (1) entry into a prize drawing to be conducted at the end of the event. Find all ten (10) and get two entries - so the more you find, he more chances you have to win!

Take this opportunity to explore and appreciate the Secret World environment design and detail!
