This year marks the Sixth Anniversary for Secret World Legends and the Eleventh Anniversary for the launch of the Secret World IP as a whole, so Happy Anniversary, sweetlings! With the Secret World Legends Anniversary event running from 24 June 2023 at 9 AM EDT (13:00 UTC) to 16 July 2023 at 9 AM EDT (13:00 UTC), there are plenty of things to do. Each and every year has meant so very much to us, and we hope they flow just as sweetly for you as well.
The Secret World Legends community has many player-run events planned for the Anniversary! Many of these contests have unique prizes and decorations made possible thanks to Funcom! There are contests and events for the whole range of content types, be it RP, PvE, or PvP - it's all covered by a wide variety of contests and events hosted by the players for the players. From community leaders to individual players and even Funcom themselves, everyone is eager to excite and entertain the community and game we love for its Anniversary!

Quantum State Radio celebrates the upcoming arrival of Secret World Legends' 6th Anniversary with four hours of music, roleplay, and giveaways at the fountain in Temple Court in front of Temple Hall in London (285,365) starting at 6:00 PM EDT (22:00 UTC) on 23 June 2023! Quantum State Radio DJs "Malak" and "DJ-Raygun" will offer music during Quantum State Radio's Summer Mayehm show - all while doing giveaways! These DJs have provided music for the Secret World Legends roleplaying community for many years, and they want to share their love for the community with the community!

Anniversary Dancin' in the Street Costume Contest

The Quantum State Radio DJ Suri "Jhayde" Hughes is holding a costume contest on the street in front of the Roman Wail Records shop in London at 7:00 PM EDT (23:00 UTC) on 28 June 2023! Arrive in your best costume and compete against other players! There's no limit to what you can dress as for the contest, be it another person, player, monster, object, or ineffable concept. Winners will be selected by audience vote. Prizes and decorative props provided courtesy of Funcom! There will be roleplay and music, as the contest will be conducted over the course of one of Jhayde's mixtape shows.

Rumble in the Rasa

The Zero Point Report podcast consisting of players "Ocholivis", "JimmyTheRabbit", and "TwoTonWaffle" is hosting a whimsical PvP event in the Rosenbrawl wherein players will fight in a tournament while wearing select NPC appearances that are visible solely on the client of Zero Point Report member and streamer "TwoTonWaffle" at 9:00 PM EDT (01:00 UTC) on 06 July 2023! The NPCs used in the tournament will be voted on prior to the start of the Rumble in the Rasa. Viewers can bets on the winning NPC of each round with special channel points through a Twitch chatbot all throughout the tournament. There will be prizes provided by Funcom in the form of [ARG hoodie Slaughterhouse] x 1 to the top 3 betters and [Everything is True T-Shirt] x 1 to all players who participate in the tournament, so get ready to wear another's flesh on-air and duke it out!
The NPC appearances will only be visible to TwoTonWaffle on his client, and thus the Zero Point Report's stream. Competing players will not be able to see which NPC they look like. NPC appearances will be applied by StarFox's PhotoMode mod for Secret World Legends.

The League of Monster Slayers Non-Musical Musical Chairs

The cabal "The League of Monster Slayers" is hosting a game of musical chairs with all of the whimsy and charm you would expect! Player "fowlskins" will be holding the event at 4:00 PM EDT (20:00 UTC) on 07 July 2023 in Axel's (615,135) on the second level of the Hollowed Halls of Agartha! For those unfamiliar with musical chairs, players try to sit in an open seat during a period of time typically designated by music - when the music stops, anyone not in a chair has lost, and the number of chairs decreases as the rounds played increase. For the League of Monster Slayers' rendition of the game, players will be told when to rush to seats and when the time's up, but no music will be involved. The game ends once there is only one player left seated, no matter how many rounds that may take. The winner will be given an [Agent Dossier: Amir] by the League of Monster Slayers.
Please do not Dodge or use any Gadgets or Active or Passive abilities that offer increased movement speed, dashes, teleports, or other means of movement that might provide an unfair advantage. Using any of the above will disqualify you from the game.
If you want to play, Meet Up on "fowlskins" before the game begins!

Heroes of the Hollowed Halls - Costume Contest

Initiate the jubilation frequency! At the Stationmaster's encouragement, Christine "AgarthaChristy" Darkmoon has sent out a call for Gaian celebration in the form of fashion! That call to action has been answered by Alessandra "Inventare" Spinoza, Virginia "Tarty" Darkmoon, Noa "Melendir" Ainsworth, and Klaus "Vomher" von Richter, and thus was the "Heroes to the Hollowed Halls Costume Contest" born.
The "Heroes to the Hollowed Halls Costume Contest" will be held in Agartha on Kaspu Nasiru's platform (595,495,y 450) on 08 July 2023 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM EDT (19:00 - 21:00 UTC). Prepare a superhero-themed costume and find your way through the World Tree on July 8th to present yourselves so eagerly to the judges! Allow your fashion choices to be judged during the event for a chance at fun and fabulous prizes, including the choice between Funcom-provided prizes of [The Athlete], [The Mythos Machine], and [Runic Automaton] for the First-Place Winner as well as 2 Runners-Up. First-Place Winners also have the choice between a [Resplendent Talisman Imbuer], [Elaborate Glyph Imbuer], or [Mk IV Weapon Imbuer]. Decorative props provided by Funcom and even Agarthan Denizens may attend!
All who participate by entering the contest will receive a [Neutral T-Shirt] courtesy of Funcom. The [Neutral T-Shirt] was previously only awarded during the Secret War Facebook Game alongside an entire "Neutral" set. Dark Days are Coming, and this t-shirt might be just what a sweetling needs to bond with their fellow bees!
The "Heroes of the Hollowed Halls Costume Contest" is primarily hosted by the metacabal known as "The Devil's Due" with help from "Vomher". The characters "Tarty", "Inventare", and "Melendir" are each played by The Devil's Due members "Aeryl", "Deodand", and "Melendir" respectively.

Happy Tentacle Radio celebrates their 10th Anniversary as a Secret World radio station alongside Secret World Legends' Anniversary wth hours of music, contests, and roleplay in front of the Hollowed Halls in Agartha (510,210) starting at 2:00 PM EDT (18:00 UTC) on 09 July 2023! After a group talk session at the start of the anniversary celebration show, Happy Tentacle Radio DJs Alysande "Cinnamon-Girl" Byrne, Medrina "Drina" Kamaar, "TheReaper", and possibly even a surprise guest DJ or two each will have their own segments representative of the tone and style of their weekly shows. Props provided by Funcom and Agarthan Denizens may even attend!
These DJs have provided music for the Secret World Legends roleplaying community for many years, all the way since Radio Free Gaia! Let them share their love of the game, community, and music with you!

A Haiku or Two
The cabal "The League of Monster Slayers" (LoMS) is hosting a haiku contest held by Player "Goonshine" on the Funcom Forums that will be held throughout the majority of Secret World Legends' Sixth Anniversary. Haiku entries must be submitted on the A Haiku or Two - Anniversary Haiku Contest Funcom Forums thread between 26 June 2023 and 11:59 PM EDT on 09 July 2023. Prizes provided by LoMS for the top 3 Haikus will be joined by a [Special Agent Dossier: Jack Boone] and [Special Agent Dossier: The Duo] as provided by Funcom! Winners to be announced by 17 July 2023, a day after the Sixth Anniversary event ends.
Haiku submissions must contain the title of the haiku, the haiku itself, at least one or more themes from a provided list, and the in-game nickname of the character to whom any potential prize may be distributed. Players may submit a maximum of two haikus if they so wish. For the purposes of this contest, haikus have been defined as being composed of one sentence with 5 syllables followed by one sentence with 7 syllables followed again by one sentence with 5 syllables. Creative leeway will be allowed and having precisely 1 extra syllable in precisely 1 out of the 3 sentences in a single haiku will not disqualify a haiku. Having 2 or more extra syllables in the entire haiku will count as a disqualification.
