General Information

Love is in the air of the Secret World! Can you feel it, sweetlings?

The Valentine’s Day event is a small event that introduces special seasonal items to give to or receive from friends and loved ones. As of Valentine's Day 2020, it now also consists of the Rosenbrawl Open Week, which adds an Investigation Mission and associated Sides, Achievements, and the return of the SOULMATE matchmaking machines for the first time since Valentine's Day 2013!

Love shines bright even in the darkest of days.

Seasonal Stickers

All cosmetic items acquired during a seasonal event have their entries marked in the Dressing Room, Pet and Sprint UI, and Emote UI with a special seasonal sale icon that signifies that an item or items is acquired through the event. These icons are seasonally appropriate in shape. Seasonally acquired cosmetics are bumped to the top of their UI lists during the event for greater visibility.

For Valentine's Day, the icon is a pink heart. If ever unsure what cosmetics are exclusive for Valentine's Day, just look for a heart.

Tree Tender

The ever-caring Tree Tender can be found tending to the Seed of Life within the Hollowed Halls of Agartha (560,180). For the season of love, the Tree Tender wears heart pajamas, and can easily be spotted by the vibrant clothing choice.

The Tree Tender sells a variety of items, the majority of which are flowers outside of events. For Valentine's Day, the Tree Tender has loot bags, a release dove, and even a scooter to sell!

Only some of the items sold by the Tree Vendor are seasonal.

Rosenbrawl Open Week

The Rosenbrawl Open Week marks the first fully-fledged compontent of Valentine's Day to grace the Secret World since Valentine's Day itself came! The Rosenbrawl Open Week features an Investigation Mission, Side Mission, and Bounty, all of it from the comforts of the Rosenbrawl pocket dimension!

The Rosenbrawl

Accessed from within the Tabula Rasa in London, the Rosenbrawl is a special pocket dimension primed for the fight - and its owner is giving invitations to everyone they can! All players Level 15 and above who log in during the event receive a special SMS from Mr Rosenbaum himself. This SMS functions as an invite to the Rosenbrawl, which allows the person who reads it to begin the attunement mission The Rosenbrawl! Normally, invitations must be granted by another player who already has access to the Rosenbrawl. During Rosenbrawl Open Week, there's no need to wait.

While Rosenbrawl Open Week is active, it is not possible to invite other players, as they will have received an invite from the event and you cannot invite somebody who already has an invite, so the mission A New Contender is disabled until the end of the event.

From within the Rosenbrawl, bees fight bees by fist-to-fist combat! Take up one of three types of boxing gloves with varying mechanics and join the arena - and watch out, because Special Guests may come at any time for a fight! This lighthearted PvP minigame has multiple rewards and achievements in its own right, and during the Rosenbrawl Open week, it offers so much more...

A Match Made in Rosenbrawl

A generous mood has befallen Mr Rosenbaum, prompting him to invite all Secret Worlders to visit the Rosenbrawl. Despite the cheerful atmosphere, something in the Rosenbrawl stands out: a SOULMATE matchmaking cabinet. These have not graced Ealdwic since 2013, and yet a fully functional machine sits where it hadn't before.

Why not have a look?

A Match Made in Rosenbrawl can be acquired at the SOULMATE Arcade Machine in The Rosenbrawl. After becoming attuned to the brawl, The Rosenbrawl itself can be accessed by entering the Tabula Rasa in London (150,330), purchasing an Access Key - The Rosenbrawl for 100 Anima Shards, and using the key in the ominous cube in the middle of the inn.

A Match Made in Rosenbrawl requires that a player be at least Level 15.

BUG: A recommended Level of 50 is given by A Match Made in Rosenbrawl. This is an error. It can still be completed by anyone Level 15 and above.

Matched

It is only by interacting with the SOULMATE Arcade Machine and joining the queue to find a match that the aptly named mission 'Matched' can be completed. Matched is a Special Area Assignment, or 'Bounty Mission', that both appears and completes after defeating your match in the Rosenbrawl.

This mission can be completed every 5 minutes due to its short cooldown period. The only limiting factor outside of this 5-minute mission cooldown is how long the SOULMATE takes to assign matches and how long it takes to win.

There is Romantic Cake at the end as a reward for your efforts. It's a delicious treat the whole group can enjoy!

A Friendly Competition

Upon successful completion of A Match Made in Rosenbrawl, it becomes possible to engage in the highly repeatable Side Mission A Friendly Competition at the very Portal in London (140,125) that leads to the single-encounter instance A Fragment In Between.

This mission has a difficulty selection prompt and can be completed solo or as a group of up to five players, with available difficulties ranging from Story Mode to Elite 17 depending on Item Power. The boss encounter within holds multiple phases and abilities to watch out for!

The Reward Chest from defeating the Masked Woman at the end of A Friendly Competition and A Match Made in Rosenbrawl can be opened freely once per 8 hour period for maximum rewards. Any subsequent chests opened during the cooldown period will contain reduced rewards, but rewards nonetheless. All contain Romantic Cake!

Clothing Rewards

A number of clothing pieces are available exclusively from the Valentine's Day event. These can be previewed in the Dressing Room and can be easily identified thanks to the pink heart icon denoting a Valentine's Day seasonal item. The following clothing rewards are received through event activities.

Swarm Mask

Don the sweet Swarm Mask and join the swarm to protect the hive of Gaia! The Swarm Mask is rewarded upon completing the achievement, "Equal Opportunity Bee" for doing both endings of the mission A Match Made in Rosenbrawl. Only one ending can be chosen per run of the mission, sweetling!

Heart pendant, gold

This precious pendant is a random superior quality drop from the Bag of Saint Valentinus.

Heart pendant, silver

This shiny silver pendant is a random superior quality drop from the Bag of Saint Valentinus. You just can't get enough of them!

Heart frame shades, red

Balloon Bouquet is a consumable which places a bundle of heart-shaped Valentine balloons on the ground when used. Obtained from Bags of Saint Valentinus.

Rose Rain

When used, Rose Rain applies the Rose Rain visual effect for 5 minutes. The Rose Rain buff causes rose petals to fall around the player. A single Rose Rain costs 5 Marks of Favour from the Tree Tender in Agartha (560,180).

Romantic Cake

The Romantic Cake is NOT a lie! Baked by Mr Rosenbaum himself, Romantic Cake is a consumable that places a heart-shaped cake on the ground when used. The placed Romantic Cake is interactable and allows for the user and up to 9 other Secret Worlders to partake in the cake and gain the buff Sweetheart. Sweetheart lasts for 20 minutes and gives +3% Critical Chance, +10% Critical Damage, and +500 Maximum Health. Romantic Cake is a mission reward from A Match Made in Rosenbrawl and Matched, and is a reward found in the Reward Chest at the end of A Match Made in Rosenbrawl and A Friendly Competition.

Bag of Saint Valentinus

The Bag of Saint Valentinus can be purchased from the Tree Tender in Agartha for 100 Third Age Fragments each and, when used, gives a total of 5 items to each person including yourself within 20 metres at a maximum of 10 other people. In order to use a Bag of Saint Valentinus, you must be at least level 10. Recipients have no level restrictions to receiving gifts from the bag, however.

A free Bag of Saint Valentinus was given to every player on the start of the Valentine's Day 2019 event and could be claimed from the /delivereditems window. It had to be claimed within 5 days or it expired from /delivereditems.

The Bag of Saint Valentinus always gives 1 of either a stack of 5x Cupid's Signal or 5x Balloon Bouquet, 1 Purified Talisman Distillate, 1 Purified Weapon Distillate, 1 Valentine's Card, and 1 Cosmetic for a total of 5 items.

In addition, your first use of the Bag will grant you the title 'Cupid's Accomplice', while the first bag wherein you receive gifts from another player will grant you the title 'Love Struck'.
